Anastasia Soboleva
prima ballerina of the Mikhailovsky Theatre
Honoured Artist of Russia
Anastasia Soboleva studied at the Kiev State Choreographic School in the class of Zoya Dolgikh and Tatyana Tayakina in 2001–2003. In 2003–2010 she studied at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography, where her teachers were Irina Syrova, Natalya Revich and Marina Leonova. After graduating from the Academy in 2010, Anastasia Soboleva was accepted into the Bolshoi Theatre ballet troupe, where she rehearsed with Nina Semizorova, and in the 2012/2013 season with Lyudmila Semenyaka.
In 2013, the ballerina joined the Mikhailovsky Theatre troupe as a soloist and made her debut as Magnolia in the ballet “Cipollino”. In 2014, Anastasia became the first soloist, and in 2021, prima ballerina of the Mikhailovsky Theatre.
In 2014, together with Viktor Lebedev, the ballerina took part in the Bolshoi Ballet competition. Critics invariably note the impeccable technique and artistry of the ballerina, who goes beyond the narrow lines of the character: “Soboleva is a real find. You need to see her!”
In 2025, she was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of Russia.
