Alexander Bezrukov

Alexander Bezrukov graduated from the Humanities Faculty of Novosibirsk State University in 2008 with a degree in History. In 2009, he entered the Glinka Novosibirsk State Conservatory in the class of People’s Artist of the RSFSR Vladimir Urbanovich. In 2011–2015 he studied at the Popov Academy of Choral Art with Honoured Artist of Russia Svetlana Ossovskaya and Natalya Ustyuzhanina. In 2015 he received the V.S. Popov Prize as the best graduate of the vocal department.
The musician worked with such conductors as Vladimir Spivakov and Mikhail Pletnev, and repeatedly performed at leading concert venues in Russia and Europe. Alexander Bezrukov took an active part in the work of the Moscow Youth Opera House. In 2013, the artist performed at the Oldenburger Promenade festival (Oldenburg, Germany) in the roles of the Old Gypsy (“Aleko” by S. V. Rachmaninov) and Don Profondo (“Journey to Reims” by G. Rossini) as part of its troupe.
In 2014, the singer made his debut on the stage of the Moscow Novaya Opera Theatre as part of the IV Popov All-Russian Festival of Vocal and Choral Music, and a year later became a member of the Academy of Young Singers at the Monte Carlo Opera. During the work of the Academy, he took part in master classes by Laurent Campellone, Corrado Rovaris and Ruggero Raimondi. He performed the role of the Englishman in S. S. Prokofiev’s opera “The Gambler” on the stage of the Monte Carlo Opera.
In 2016, Alexander Bezrukov joined the troupe of the Mikhailovsky Theatre. Critics note the bright stage texture of the singer and the thick timbre of his voice.
