Alexander Kuznetsov

Alexander Kuznetsov graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory in 2004 in the class of Professor Sergei Ryazantsev and the same year joined the troupe of the Mikhailovsky Theatre.
A baritone with a deep, expressive timbre, Alexander Kuznetsov has a bright acting charisma. In 2016, director Andrei Moguchiy invited the singer to perform the role of Boris in “The Storm” by A. N. Ostrovsky on the stage of the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theatre. This performance in 2017 received the Russian National Theatre Award “Golden Mask” and the Highest Theatre Award of St. Petersburg “Zolotoy sofit”. Critics note that Alexander Kuznetsov shows not only excellent vocals, but also considerable stage talent, harmony, expressiveness, temperament: “He sings immersive, convincingly, truthfully.”
Currently, the artist is also an assistant professor at the department of solo singing at the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory.
