Alexandra Sennikova

soprano, soloist of the Mikhailovsky Theatre opera

Alexandra Sennikova graduated from the piano department of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory in 2015 with Professor Alexei Nasedkin, and in 2018 from the vocal department, where her teachers were People’s Artist of the USSR Zurab Sotkilava and People’s Artist of Russia Khibla Gerzmava.
In 2017, the singer performed the role of Susanna in the opera “The Marriage of Figaro” by W.-A. Mozart on the stage of the Pokrovsky Chamber Theatre during the New Opera World festival. In 2018, she performed the role of Beloved in the world premiere of Ivan Gostev’s opera “The Legend of Danko”. The same year, Alexandra trained at the Academy of the Rossini Festival and performed the role of Corinna in G. Rossini’s opera “Journey to Reims”. She also participated in performances of G. Rossini’s “Stabat Mater” at the Teatro Verdi in Milan and the Teatro Rossini in Pesaro.
In 2020, the artist took part in the Elena Obraztsova Foundation’s “Opera Class” project, and performed the role of Donna Anna in the play “Amadeus. Opera Laboratory” on the stage of the Moscow Novaya Opera Theatre. In February 2021, she completed the Educational program of the Ildar Abdrazakov International Music Festival in Moscow.
In 2021, Alexandra Sennikova joined the troupe of the Mikhailovsky Theatre. Critics note the great potential of her bright soprano: “Alexandra Sennikova demonstrated a wonderful, enchanting timbre of very interesting colouring and very good command of her voice.”
