Ivan Zaytsev
principal dancer of the Mikhailovsky Theatre
diploma winner of the International competition
Ivan Zaitsev is a graduate of the Krasnodar Choreographic School. In 2007, he graduated from the St. Petersburg University of Culture and Arts, where he studied at the department of choreography, and was immediately accepted into the Leonid Yakobson Ballet Theater.
After participating in the XI Moscow International Competition of Ballet Dancers and Choreographers in 2009, the artist was invited to the Boris Eifman Ballet Theatre.
In 2011, Ivan Zaitsev joined the Mikhailovsky Theatre troupe as a soloist. Critics note that it was at the Mikhailovsky Theatre that Ivan Zaitsev “revealed himself as a virtuoso dancer, and the theatre acquired a unique partner.”
