Angelina Vorontsova graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography in the class of Natalia Arkhipova in 2009. She began studying ballet at the Voronezh State Choreographic School, where her teachers were Marina Leonkina, Nabilya Valitova and Tatyana Frolova. In 2009, she joined the Bolshoi Theatre ballet company. Principal dancer of the Bolshoi Theatre Nikolay Tsiskaridze became Angelina’s first stage partner, as well as her coach.
In 2013, Angelina Vorontsova joined the ballet company of the Mikhailovsky Theatre as prima ballerina and made her debut as Diana Mireille in the ballet “The Flames of Paris”.
Critics note the ballerina’s unique artistic abilities and excellent technique: “Beautiful jump and silent landings, magnificent stable rotation and gigantic range of movements, calmness, confidence and a lot of charm”.
In 2024, she was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of Russia.
