Prisca Zeisel
prima ballerina of the Mikhailovsky Theatre
winner of international competitions
Prisca Zeisel studied ballet at the school of the Vienna State Opera, at the Rosella Hightower School of Dance in Cannes and at the Princess Grace Academy in Monte Carlo. In 2011, the artist joined the troupe of the Vienna State Ballet, and in the 2016/2017 season she became a soloist of the Bavarian State Ballet (Munich). Already in March 2017, Priska Zeisel was promoted to first soloist, and in September 2019 she received the status of prima ballerina. While working in Munich, her repertoire included solo parts in ballets of the classical and modern repertoire.
In 2023, Prisca Zeisel made her debut on the stage of the Mikhailovsky Theatre as Gamzatti in the ballet La Bayadère. Soon after her debut, she was accepted into the theatre troupe as a prima ballerina. During the very first months of work at the theatre, the artist performed the main roles in almost all ballets of the current repertoire. “Prisca Zeisel is more than just a prima ballerina. She amazingly combines incredible performance, impeccable technique, accuracy, irrepressible energy and excellent training that Russian ballet masters gave her.”
