Yury Monchak

bass, opera soloist at the Mikhailovsky Theatre

Yuri Monchak graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory in 2007 in the class of Honoured Artist of Russia Andrei Khramtsov. In the same year, the artist joined the troupe of the Mikhailovsky Theatre.
Yuri Monchak took part in master classes by Richard Barker, Paolo di Napoli, Badri Maisuradze, Elena Obraztsova, Vladimir Atlantov.
Critics note the bright artistry of the singer, who easily embodies diverse characters on stage, and his beautiful, agile voice.
