Alexander Shakhov
baritone, soloist of the Mikhailovsky Theatre opera
Alexander Shakhov is a graduate of the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory, where his teacher was People’s Artist of Russia Mikhail Kit. Alexander Shakhov also took part in master classes by Vladimir Chernov, Elena Obraztsova, Ruben Lisitsian, Sergei Leiferkus, Dmitry Vdovin.
In 2014, immediately after graduating from the conservatory, the singer joined the troupe of the Mikhailovsky Theatre. As part of the youth program of the Mikhailovsky Theatre, he completed an internship at the La Scala Academy with the legendary masters of Italian opera Renato Bruson and Lucian Dintino. Critics single out the artist for his stage organicity, warm timbre, special softness and melodiousness of sound.
