Sofia Fainberg
mezzo-soprano, soloist of the Mikhailovsky Theatre opera
Sofia Fainberg graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory in 2010 in the class of People’s Artist of Russia Nadezhda Drozdova-Weiner. Immediately after graduation, the singer joined the troupe of the Mikhailovsky Theatre. Critics note the singer’s bright and expressive mezzo, her stage flexibility and naturalness: “Sofia Fainberg effectively adds to her stage partners both vocally and in acting. She not only leads her part superbly, but also works brilliantly in the ensemble.”
