The Mikhailovsky Theatre’s gala concert to celebrate the famous bass Paata Burchuladze’s 40-year singing career will bring together the best voices of our time. Performing both world-renowned and rarely performed pieces from a global repertoire will be sopranos Maria Guleghina and Lana Kos; Italian tenor Marco Berti, who is one of the world’s four best tenors; bass Ferruccio Furlanetto, who „best of all personifies Verdi’s Italian style“; and the very popular tenor Otar Jorjikia from the new generation of Georgian vocalists. Ñonnoisseurs of the vocal arts will surely enjoy this performance.
Concert features music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Gaetano Donizetti, Camille Saint-Saëns, Georges Bizet, Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Charles Gounod, Johann Strauss fils, Pietro Mascagni, Ruggero Leoncavallo, and Umberto Giordano
