Matinées at the Mikhailovsky Theatre
The productions in the ‘Matinees’ subscription will take place at weekends and are sure to become red letter days for the whole family. They will include three brilliant ballets and an opera on a fairytale theme. Pirate skirmishes and the abduction of beautiful slave girls in Le Corsaire, the battle with the Mouse King in The Nutcracker, the fight with the tyrannical Prince Lemon in Cipollino, the desperate search for the beautiful stranger who has lost her glass slipper in Cinderella — you’ll plunge into the world of fairytales, feel the spirit of adventure, and root for the noble heroes in their fight for goodness and justice.
