Accessible environment

Dear guests,

We are delighted to welcome you to performances and events at the Mikhailovsky Theatre.

Please familiarize yourself with this information about access to the theatre and the services we provide for people with limited mobility, as well as the additional assistance that is available from theatre staff.

Visit our website (mikhailovsky.ru) for information on possible routes to the Mikhailovsky Theatre from the nearest public transport stop and metro station.

There is a specially signposted city car park located 30 metres from the main entrance.

Use the call button located to the right of the entrance to call a member of staff. We can assist you with entering and leaving the theatre.

There is a toilet partially equipped for wheelchair users on the ground floor of the theatre building.

The only seating areas with wheelchair access are in the stalls and stalls circle, accessible via two lifts.

Due to the specific architectural features of the Mikhailovsky Theatre’s historical building, we can accommodate a maximum of two wheelchair users at any repertoire performance.

Guests with disabilities and their companions can access theatre performances upon presenting their tickets (to be bought by the wheelchair user and their companion).

Tickets for guests with disabilities and their companions can be purchased from our website or at the theatre box office.

Wheelchair users must purchase two tickets: one with a distinctive wheelchair symbol, and a second for a companion in the immediate vicinity of the wheelchair user’s seat, in the stalls or stalls circle (picture with a floor plan and symbols for persons with disabilities).

The wheelchair user’s seat will be assigned by a theatre administrator in the stalls area on the day of the performance.

Wheelchair users may not purchase tickets without the special wheelchair symbol for theatre events. If a wheelchair user purchases a ticket without the wheelchair symbol, they will be denied entry to the event. In this instance, ticket returns will be governed by our standard policy.

If you require any further information about our services or have any comments and suggestions, please call (812) 595-43-19.
