Irina Mikhailova
mezzo-soprano, soloist of the Mikhailovsky Theatre opera
Irina Mikhailova graduated from the Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University in 2016 in the class of Honoured Artist of Russia Elena Morozova.
In 2012–2014, Irina Mikhailova was a soloist of the Silver Strings orchestra of Russian folk instruments under the direction of Alexander Afanasyev. In 2013, she participated in the international musical project Verdi Opera Highlights, held by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in St. Petersburg as a guest soloist.
In 2014, Irina Mikhailova became a guest soloist of the Mikhailovsky Theatre, and in 2018 she joined its opera troupe. “Irina Mikhailova’s thick and warm voice, which has the ability to reveal itself gradually, is a real decoration of the performance,” critics note.
