Masterpieces of Opera and Ballet
This subscription package includes two love stories created by the great masters of Italian opera — Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata and Giacomo Puccini’s La Bohème. The ballet programme presents two masterpieces of choreography: Giselle, restaged for us by Nikita Dolgushin but still retaining the flavour of times gone by, and Nacho Duato’s Multiplicity. Forms of Silence and Emptiness — the contemporary choreographer’s take on the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. He reaches back through two centuries, linking the great composer’s time with the present day. All who see these productions come away with an appreciation of our ballet company’s versatility and the characteristics of its unique style.
