On 11 November, the Mikhailovsky Theatre will host a grand ceremony for the 6th Onegin National Opera Award as part of the 9th St Petersburg International Cultural Forum. Attendees will enjoy a gala concert attended by opera stars from around the world and prize winners and nominees from previous years.
The Onegin National Opera Award was founded in 2016 to celebrate the most outstanding singers and premieres of the year. The Award's expert council and jury brings together influential music critics, opera historians, teachers and famous performers. Over the years, the awards ceremony has welcomed such honoured international guests as Inva Mula, Ruggero Raimondi, Patrizia Ciofi, José Cura and Angela Gheorghiu.
