Alexey Kuligin graduated from the Sobinov Saratov State Conservatory in 1988 in the class of People’s Artist of the USSR Leonid Smetannikov. In 1987, while still a student, he became a soloist of the Chernyshevsky Saratov Opera and Ballet Theatre.
In 1992, the artist joined the troupe of the Mikhailovsky Theatre. The press invariably notes the pleasant voice and bright stage charm of Alexey Kuligin, who makes an impression even in small roles.
