Repertoire for the first half of the 188th season

We have some very exciting news to announce: the Mikhailovsky Theatre will re-open very soon. And the new 188th season looks very promising.

On 2 and 3 October, the new ballet season starts with the premiere of the ballet ‘Coppélia’. The first opera performance — the legendary ‘Cavalleria rusticana’ — will follow on 4 October.

The repertoire of the new season includes the signature productions of St Petersburg stage: ‘Spartacus’, ‘Don Quixote’, as well as the much talked-of premiere of the previous season — ‘La Bayadère’ staged by Nacho Duato. Opera fans are sure to enjoy the return of the classical productions of ‘La traviata’, ‘Tosca’, and ‘Iolanta’.

In a very short time, booking for the next season is to open on our website and at the Mikhaiklovsky Theatre box office. As always, season tickets will be available featuring the best opera and ballet productions. For our young visitors, you can book season tickets for ‘Backstage Story’, ‘Chizhik’s Tales’, and ‘The Country of Orchestria’.
