Irina Kosheleva

soloist of the Mikhailovsky Theatre

Born in Barnaul, she graduated from the Novosibirsk Choreography School. In 1996, joined the Mikhailovsky Theatre, where she performed the roles of Odette — Odile (Swan Lake), Aurora, Lilac Fairy, Fairy of Diamonds, and Candid Fairy (The Sleeping Beauty), Nikiya, Gamzatti, Three shades (La Bayadère), Street Dancer (Don Quixote), Raymonda and Grand pas (Raymonda), Fleur de Lys (Esmeralda), Medora and Three Odalisques (Le Corsaire), as well as solo roles in The Nutcracker, La Sylphide, Les Sylphides, and Paquita. Nowadays, she performs solo roles in the new productions of Swan Lake, La Bayadère, Giselle, ou Les Wilis, Don Quixote, Le Corsaire, Cipollino, Laurencia, The Flames of Paris, The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, The Sleeping Beauty, as well as one-act ballets by Nacho Duato.
