Evgeny Nagovitsyn
Evgeny Nagovitsyn graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire. Since 2008, he has been a soloist with the St Petersburg Opera Theatre. In 2011, he performed with the Mikhailovsky Opera. His répertoire includes the following roles: Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Arturo in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, Beppo in Donizetti’s Rita, Duke in Verdi’s Rigoletto, Alfredo in Verdi’s La traviata, Rodolfo in Puccini’s La Bohème, Cavaradossi in Puccini’s Tosca, Beppo in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, Golo in Schuman’s Genoveva, Lensky in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Vaudémont in Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta, Lykov in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Tsar’s Bride, Kochkaryov in Mussorgsky’s Marriage, Yurodivy in Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov, and Antonio in Prokofiev’s Duenna. Evgeny Nagovitsyn participated in the final round of the International Stenhammar Competition in Sweden (2008) and received the Grand-prix for the International Competition “Vivat St Petersburg” (2010).
Since 2012, he has colloborated with the Mikhailovsky Theatre. Nowdays, he is a soloist of the Mikhailovsky Opera. At the Mikhailovsky Theatre, he performs tenor parts in the operas by Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Leoš Janáček, and Pyotr Tchaikovsky. At the Theatre, he has also performed Onegin in Eugene Onegin staged by Stanislav Gaudasinsky and Rodolfo in La Bohème staged by Arnaud Bernard.
