Yulia Alekseyeva
International Competition Prize-Winner
Yulia Alexeyeva graduated from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy in Kiev in 2011, where she was a trainee of Pyotr Koval. Since 2012, she has been a post-graduate student of the Academy. In 2009, during the Mirjam Helin International Singing Competition (Helsinki), she was selected for masterclass by Anna Tomowa-Sintow.
Yulia Alexeyeva’s repertoire includes the following roles: Countess (Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro), Aida (Verdi’s Aida), Leonora (Verdi’s Il trovatore), Iolanta (Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta), Tatyana (Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin), Zemfira (Rachmaninov’s Aleko), the soprano parts in Händel’s Messiah, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, and Verdi’s Requiem. She also performs arias by Bellini, Donizetti, Boito, Cilea, Catalani, Mascagni, Puccini, Gounod, Massenet, Dvorak, Prokofiev, and Gershwin, romances and lieder by Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninov, Sviridov, R. Strauss, Britten, de Falla, and folk songs.
