Vasily Ladyuk

a:2:{s:4:"TEXT";s:2334:"Vasily Ladyuk graduated from the Moscow Chorus Sveshnikov Institute in 1997. In 2001, he graduated from the vocal and chorus conducting departments of Popov Chorus Academy. In 2004, he finished his postgraduate studies at the Academy. In 2002–2005, he participated in masterclasses held by artists of La Scala, Metropolitan Opera, and Huston Opera.

Since 2003, he has been a soloist of the New Opera Theatre in Moscow. Since 2007, he has been a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre. At the Bolshoi Theatre, he performs Giorgio Germont (Verdi’s La traviata), Marquis of Posa (Verdi’s Don Carlos), Marcello (Puccini’s La Bohème), Figaro (Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia), Malatesta (Donizetti’s Don Pasquale), Eletsky (Tchaikovsky’s Queen of Spades), Robert (Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta), and Onegin (Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin). Ladyuk’s international career began at La Monnaie with Shchelkalov in Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov and at Liceu with Yamadori in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. Later, he performed Andrey Bolkonsky (Prokofiev’s War and Peace) and Silvio (Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci) at the Metropolitan Opera, Onegin at La Scala, Giorgio Germont at La Fenice, Ezio (Verdi’s Attila) at Liceu, Count di Luna (Verdi’s Il trovatore) at Comunale Theatre in Bologna, and Onegin at the Mariinsky Theatre. The singer’s repertoire also includes Zurga in Bizet’s Les pêcheurs de perles, Papageno in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Belcore in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, and baritone parts in Rachmaninoff’s Spring and Bells and Orf’s Carmina Burana.
Vasily Ladyuk regularly participates in musical festivals including Vladimir Spivakov Invites..., Orchard Forest, Crescendo and Colmar International Festival. Vasily Ladyuk is the founder and the director of the Opera Live Festival.

The singer made his debut at the Mikhailovsky Theatre in 2008 performing Belcore in L’elisir d’amore.
