Anton Torbeev
Graduated from the Faculty of Opera and Symphony Conducting of the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory (class of People’s Artist of Russia, Professor E. Serov) and an assistantship internship at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (class of Honoured Artist of Russia, Professor I. Dronov).
Took part in master classes by outstanding conductors of our time: Bernard Haitink, Fabio Luisi, Lorin Maazel.
In 2012–2013 he interned at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (Austria) in the class of Professor Wolfgang Doerner.
In 2018–2022, he was a member of the conducting and trainee group of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia under the direction of V. Spivakov.
Collaborated with the Volgograd and Far Eastern Academic Symphony Orchestras, the Karaganda and Astana Symphony Orchestras (Kazakhstan), the National Romanian Radio Orchestra, the Sapporo International Youth Symphony Orchestra (Japan), the Sichuan Symphony Orchestra (China), the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra (South Korea), the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre (St. Petersburg).
Scholarship recipient of the Russian Ministry of Culture “Young Talents” program, winner of grants from the Gartow Foundation (Germany) and the Georg Solti Foundation (Belgium). Awarded a prize from the Government of St. Petersburg, a diploma from the Public Chamber of the Primorsky Territory for services to society, fruitful socially significant activities, great contribution to the cultural life of the region and recognition among citizens.
Since 2013 — conductor of the Primorsky Opera and Ballet Theatre.
From 2016 to 2023 — conductor of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre.
Since 2023 — conductor of the Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre of Moscow.
