David Posulikhin
Tenor, Laureate of International Competitions
In 2014, David Posulikhin graduated from the Gnessin State Musical College, where he studied in the class of Nikolay Vasiliev. During his studies, he performed the role of Lensky in a concert performance of Tchaikovsky’s opera “Eugene Onegin” and as a diploma performance, he sang the role of Nemorino in the production of Donizetti’s opera “L’elisir d’amore”.
In 2018, he graduated from GITIS (Russian Institute of Theatre Arts) (studying in Dmitry Bertman’s workshop, class of Nikolay Vasiliev). During his studies, he performed the roles of Vašek (“The Bartered Bride” by B. Smetana), Beppe (“Rita” by G. Donizetti), and Nikolay Figarenko (“The Marriage of Figarenko” by M. Tariverdiev).
From 2018 to 2022, he was an artist of the Bolshoi Theatre’s Youth Opera Program. He performed in Bolshoi Theatre productions in the roles of Tamino (“The Magic Flute” by W. A. Mozart), the First Jew (“Salome” by R. Strauss), Don Curzio (“The Marriage of Figaro” by W. A. Mozart), and the First Troll (“Kay and Gerda” by S. Banevich).
In 2018, he became a guest soloist of the Moscow Helikon Opera Musical Theatre, and in 2022 he joined the theatre as a principal soloist. On the theatre’s stage, he has performed numerous roles, including Lykov (“The Tsar’s Bride” by N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov), Alfred (“Die Fledermaus” by J. Strauss), Ishmael (“Nabucco” by G. Verdi), the Indian Guest (“Sadko” by N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov), Goro (“Madama Butterfly” by G. Puccini), Faust (“Faust. The Fourth Wall” by I. A. Ilyin to music by Ch. Gounod), Tom Rakewell (“The Rake’s Progress” by I. F. Stravinsky), the Prince (“Cinderella” by L. Weinstein), Pang (“Turandot” by G. Puccini), and Zinovy Borisovich (“Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk” by D. Shostakovich).
Also in 2018, he performed at the Orfeo Music Festival in Vipiteno, Italy, and took part in the International Music Academy as part of the Yuri Bashmet Winter International Arts Festival in Sochi.
In 2019, he was nominated for the Russian National Theatre Award “Golden Mask” for his interpretation of the role of Tamino in Mozart’s opera “The Magic Flute”. That same year, he performed in concerts in Nice and Paris and completed an internship with the “Fabbrica” youth program at the Rome Opera House.
In 2012, David Posulikhin received the Grand Prix at the 19th Firebird Russian Competition-Festival. In 2013, he became the winner of the Silver Voice Moscow International Open Festival of Academic Solo Singing. In 2014, he was awarded the First Prize laureate at the 20th Bella voce International Vocal Competition. In 2015, he became a second prize laureate at the 14th Russian Youth Delphic Games and a second prize laureate at the 9th Alexey Ivanov International Competition.
