Pavel Petrov

Tenor

The young tenor Pavel Petrov studied classical singing at the Belarus State Academy of Music in Minsk. In 2012, he joined the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus.

His operatic repertoire includes the roles of Lensky and Triquet in Eugene Onegin, Duca in Rigoletto, Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore, Jontek in Moniuszko’s Halka, Young Gypsy in Aleko, Tsar Berendey in Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Snow Maiden, Alfredo Germont in La traviata, and Vogelsang in Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor. Future engagements include appearances at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Zürich Opera House, Theater Kiel and Amsterdam Concertgebouw, among others.
