Pavel Baleff
The Bulgarian conductor Pavel Baleff conducted his first concert in 1988. In 1993, he produced radio and TV recordings with leading Bulgarian orchestras. Since 1995, Pavel Baleff has been a participant of the Conductors’ Forum of the German Music Association. Since December 1998, Pavel Baleff has been the musical director of the Dresden Chamber Opera. In September 1999, he became the first conductor of the Rostock Opera. In season 2000/2001, he was the musical director of the Rostock Opera. Since 2002, he has been a first conductor and a deputy general musical director of the Halle Opera. Since 2007, Pavel Baleff has been the chief conductor of the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Society and the artistic director of the Carl Flesch Academy in Baden-Baden. In 2013, he conducted the Christmas Concert featuring the renowned violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter broadcasted on ZDF. Since 2021, he has been the musical director of the Nordhausen Theatre and Loh-Orchester Sondershausen. As a guest conductor, Pavel Baleff appears with the Vienna State Opera, Zurich Opera, Dresden Opera, Leipzig Opera, Gewandhaus Orchestra, Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Mikhailovsky Theatre, Hannover Opera, Berlin Comic Opera, and Sofia National Opera. Pavel Baleff has cooperated with Edita Gruberova, Diana Damrau, Krassimira Stoyanova, Thomas Hampson, Vesselina Kasarova, Ramon Vargas, Piotr Beczala, Luca Pisaroni, Anna Netrebko, and other renowned singers.
