Romanian tenor, Marius Manea, became a principal artist in the ensemble of the Romanian National Opera, Bucharest, in 2005, after he graduated from the Transylvania University in Brasov. Previously, he made his professional debut with the Brasov State Opera as Don Ottavio Don Giovanni and further appeared as a principal soloist at Opera Timisoara and the National Opera Cluj. Marius Manea has won several significant competitions, including the Great Prize at the Romanian International Singing Contest, Traian Grozavescu, and the special prize at the Musiktheater Wien. In 2009-10 he appeared in a concert tour of arias and duets with his mentor, Angela Gheorghiu, at the Munich Bayerische Staatsoper.
