Maria Lobanova

Maria Lobanova graduated from the Musical College of the Ippolitov-Ivanov Musical Institute in Moscow in 2004 as a pianist. In 2009, she graduated from the Vocal Department of the Moscow State Art and Cultural University. In 2007–2009, she underwent traineeship at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre in Moscow. In 2009–2012, she was a soloist of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre. At the Theatre, she performed Masha in Shostakovich’s Moscow, Cheryomushki, Tamara in Rubinstein’s Demon, Tatiana in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Militrisa in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Tale of Tsar Saltan, Sailor’s Wife in Milhaud’s Le pauvre matelot, Antonia’s Mother in Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann. In 2009, she participated in Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre Tour to Trieste with Eugene Onegin.

Maria Lobanova participated in various festivals as well as in the Soprano Parade organized by the Irina Arkhipova Foundation La passione dell’amore. In 2009, she performed Tatiana in Eugene Onegin with the Moldova National Opera in the framework of the festival Maria Bieșu Invites. In 2010–2012, she participated in musical events organized by the Russian State Pushkin Museum. In 2013, she appeared in Viva Opera under the baton of Claudio Vandelli in the framework of the International Musical Festival Khabarovsk-2013 directed by Yuri Bashmet. In 2014, she performed Maria in Strauss’s Friedenstag in Pfalztheater (Kaiserslautern). In 2015, she participated in a concert at the Moscow International House of Music in the framework of the festival Tchaikovsky’s Music. In 2012–2014, she was a participant of the Young Artists Opera Program of the Bolshoi Theatre. With the Programme, she appeared in concerts at the Moscow International House of Music in the framework of the festival Rachmaninoff’s Music and at the Concert Hall of the Tchaikovsky House in Klin in the framework of the International Art Festival Moscow Area Evenings with Tchaikovsky. In 2013–2015, she participated in chamber concerts at the Beethoven Hall of the Bolshoi Theatre and in the concert Young Voices of the Bolshoi Theatre. Since 2016, Maria Lobanov has been a soloist with the Bolshoi Opera. At the Bolshoi, she performs Katerina in Shostakovich’s Katerina Izmailova, Nastasya Filippovna in Weinberg’s Idiot, Kupava in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Snow Maiden, Lisa in Tchaikovsky’s Queen of Spades, Foreign Princess in Dvořák’s Rusalka, Olga Tokmakova in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Maid of Pskov, and Joan in Tchaikovsky’s Maid of Orleans. In 2019, she participated in Christmas Concerts with the Harbin Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Tang Muhai (Harbin) and performed Lisa in Queen of Spades at the Dzhalil Opera Theatre in the framework of the 35th International Chaliapin Opera Festival and participated in closing galas of the Festival.
