Anastasia Makhamendrikova
Pianist Anastasia Makhamendrikova, a pupil of Professor Vladimir Ovchinnikov, is a prize-winner at the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Pianists in Moscow, International Scriabin Competition for Young Pianists in Paris, the Astana Piano Passion Young Pianists International Competition, Musical Ascent, Grand Prize Virtuoso (Great Britain), Pietro Argento (Italy), and many others.
She has performed at the world’s most prestigious venues, including Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow Conservatoire, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Moscow International House of Music, Royal Albert Hall in London and Steinway Hall in New York. She is also a recipient of a grant from the President of the Russian Federation.
Anastasia has taken part in projects run by the Ministry of Culture, the Vladimir Spivakov, «New Names» and Elena Obraztsova foundations, and in concert programmes and festivals run by Denis Matsuev.
As a soloist she has performed with the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra, the Svetlanov State Academic Symphony Orchestra, the New Russia orchestra, the Chelyabinsk, Irkutsk and Astana Philharmonic Orchestras and the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Tatarstan.
In May 2015, Master Performers released the pianist’s debut DVD, recorded at the prestigious Shalin Liu Performance Center (USA). The programme includes works by Scarlatti, Bach, Schumann and Rachmaninoff.
