Lucia Lacarra

guest star of Dortmund Ballet

Lucia Lacarra is a graduate of the Victor Ullate Dance School in Madrid. Over the years, she has been the prima ballerina of the Marseille National Ballet, founded by Roland Petit, and the San Francisco Ballet. She danced leading roles in seven ballets by Roland Petit, four of which were created specifically for her. In San Francisco, Lucia’s repertoire included classic roles in ballets such as “Giselle”, “Swan Lake”, and “The Sleeping Beauty”.
From 2002 to 2016, Lucia Lacarra was the principal dancer with the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich. At the same time, she collaborated with John Neumeier, performing leading roles in his productions and often touring the world as a guest soloist. In 2016, the ballerina joined the Dortmund Ballet as a guest star. In 2020, together with Matthew Golding, Lucia Lacarra founded GOLDENLAC Productions company, now known as Lucia Lacarra Ballet.
