Kristina Kretova
In 2002, graduated from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy (classes of Lyudmila Kolenchenko, Marina Leonova, and Elena Bobrova) and joined the Kremlin Ballet Theatre. In 2010, she joined the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre as a principal, where her repertoire included roles of The Queen of the Dryads, Kitri (Don Quixote), Odette — Odile (Swan Lake), Esmeralda (Esmeralda). In the season 2011/2012, she joined the Bolshoi Ballet Company, where her repertoire includes main roles in the ballets Swan Lake, Giselle, La Bayadère, The Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire, The Nutcracker, The Bright Stream, The Flames of Paris, Onegin, Coppélia, La Fille du Pharaon, The Taming of the Shrew, Nureyev, The Winter’s Tale, among many others.
The ballerina’s awards include II prize at the All-Russia Yuri Grigorovich Festival Young Ballet of Russia (2002), I prize at the Young Ballet of the World (2006), the Ballet magazine Soul of Dance prize in the Rising Star category (2006), The International Ballet Festival Dance Open Prize in Miss Virtuosity nomination (2014).
At the Mikhailovsky Theatre, she performed the role of Kitri in the ballet Don Quixote.
