Ekaterina Kondaurova

Honoured Artist of Russia

Graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in 2001 and joined the Mariinsky Ballet in 2001. Since 2012, she has been principal dancer of the Mariinsky Theatre.

In 2006, Ekaterina Kondaurova received Benois de la Danse prize, in 2008, she received the Golden Sofit, St Petersburg’s most prestigious theatre prize, in the category Best Female Role in Ballet for the role of Alma in the ballet Glass Heart, in 2010 — for the role of Anna Karenina in the ballet of the same name, in 2018 — for the role in the ballet The Four Seasons. In 2011, she received the Golden Mask, Russia’s most prestigious theatre prize, for Best female role in ballet (Anna Karenina) and Ballet magazine’s Spirit of Dance award in the Star nomination (2011). In 2020, she became Honoured Artist of Russia.

Ballerina’s repertoire includes roles in the ballets Giselle, Le Corsaire, La Bayadere, The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Raymonda, Don Quixote, George Balanchine’s ballets, among many other.
