Igor Tsvirko

In 2007, graduated from the Moscow Ballet Academy (class of Alexander Bondarenko) and joined the Bolshoi Ballet. In the season 2017/18, joined the ballet company of the Hungarian National Opera (Budapest). The dancer’s repertoire includes the roles of the Evil Genius (Swan Lake), Conrad (Le Corsaire), Count Albrecht (Giselle), Solor (La Bayadère), Abderakhman (Raymonda), Basil (Don Quixote), Jose (Carmen Suite), Spartcaus (Spartacus, chor. by Yu.Grigorovich), Pechorin (The Hero of Our Time), Ferkhad (The Legend of Love), Philip (The Flames of Paris), among many others.

In 2018, he was awarded the International Dance Open Ballet Prize in the category ‘The Best Duet’ (with Ekaterina Krysanova). His other awards include the Ballet Magazine Award in the category ‘Star’ and the second prize of the XII International Moscow Ballet Competition (2013). In September 2016, he was named ‘Dancer of the Month’ by the British Dancing Times Magazine.

At the Mikhailovsky Theatre, he performed the roles of Spartacus (Spartacus), Basil (Don Quixote), Prince (Cinderella).
