Amanda Gomes
Prima ballerina of the Musa Jalil Tatar Opera and Ballet Theatre
Amanda Gomes graduated from the Bolshoi Theatre School in Brazil. She has performed on stages in Brazil — in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Parana, as well as in Italy, Uruguay, Paraguay and Switzerland. Since 2014 she is the soloist of the Musa Jalil Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theatre. Amanda is the winner of numerous international competitions, the winner of the Bolshoi Ballet project on the Russia-Culture TV channel in 2018, and the recipient of the Order of Rio Branco, the highest award of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2024). The ballerina’s repertoire includes leading roles in the ballets Giselle, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, La Bayadere, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Coppélia, La Fille Mal Gardée, Romeo and Juliet, Le Corsaire, Spartacus and many others.
