Dmitri Tcherniakov
Born in Moscow, he graduated from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Moscow.
He staged a number of opera and drama productions in Russian and foreign theatres.
He also created stage design for all his productions.

Tcherniakov received numerous prizes, including Golden Mask Awards, Triumph Premium, the International Opera Awards 2013 as Best Stage Director and for the Best Production, and the Franco Abbiati Prize (2008).
