Dinu Tamazlacaru

Principal Dancer of the Berlin State Ballet

Born in Chisinau, Moldavia, in 2000 he graduated from the National Ballet School in Chisinau (Alexander Ivanov’s class), in 2002 from the Vienna Ballet Conservatory (Maxim Abzalov’s class).

In 2000, he joined the ballet company of Unter den Linden Theatre in Berlin, in 2004 he joined the Berlin State Ballet. His repertory includes principal roles in classical and contemporary ballets, including Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Tchaikovsky, Onegin, The Nutcracker, Coppelia, La Sylphide, Ballet Imperial, Herman Schmerman, among many others.

Dinu Tamazlakaru is a guest principal with Teatro Comunale (Florence), Teatro Arcimboldi (Milan), Rome Opera, Tokyo Ballet, the Tatar National Opera, the Romanian National Opera, the Croatian National Opera, the Slovak National Theatre.
