Stéphane Bullion
Born in Lyon, he started his ballet training under Rene Bon. In 1994, he entered Paris Opera Ballet School. In 1997, joined the corps de ballet of Paris Opera. In 2001, he was promoted to coryphée, in 2003 — to sujet, in 2008 — to premier danseur of the Paris Opera. In 2010, he became étoile of the Paris Opera. The same year he became a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.
His repertoire includes the roles of Prince Siegfried and Rothbart (Swan Lake), Espada (Don Quixote), Albrecht (Giselle), Lucien (Paquita), Jean de Brienne and Abderam (Raymonda), Solor (La Bayadere), Quasimodo (Notre-Dame de Paris), Armand (La Dame aux Camélias), the title role in Caligula by Nicolas Le Riche, as well as other productions by Maurice Bejart, Ohad Naharin, Carolyn Carlson, Pina Bausch, and other distinguished choreographers.
