Alexei Tatarintsev
Alexei Tatarintsev studied choral conducting at the Derzhavin State University of Tambov in 1998–2003. While still a student, he was a soloist of the Rachmaninov Chamber Chorus. In 2006, he graduated com laude from the Moscow Academy of Choral Art, where he later completed his probation assistantship.
In 2008, he joined the Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre. At the Novaya Opera, he performs Lensky and Triquet (Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin), Minstrel (Tchaikovsky’s Maid of Orleans), Tamino (Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte), Alfred (Strauss’s Die Fledermaus), Count Almaviva (Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia), Vladimir Igorevich (Borodin’s Prince Igor), Duke (Verdi’s Rigoletto), Nemorino (Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore), Prince Ramiro (Rossini’s La Cenerentola), Prince Nutcracker (The Nutcracker. An Opera based on the ballet of the same name by Tchaikovsky), Rodolfo (Puccini’s La Bohème), Romeo (Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette), Tebaldo (Bellini’s I Capuleti e i Montecchi), and the tenor part in Puccini’s Messa di Gloria.
In 2010, he performed the role of Yasha in the concert performance of Philippe Fenelon’s Cherry Orchard at the Bolshoi Theatre (world première). At the Bolshoi Theatre, he also performed the Italian Singer in Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier (2013), Ernesto in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale (2016), and Rodolfo in La Bohème (2017).
Among his recent engagements: Ramiro (La Cenerentola) at the Mariinsky Theatre, Duke (Rigoletto) at the Palm Beach Opera and Malmö Opera, and Verdi’s Requiem at the Royal Opera of Versailles.
The singer has cooperated with Vladimir Fedoseev, Vladimir Spivakov, Saulius Sondeckis, John Nelson and other renowned conductors. He took part in numerous international festivals in Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Japan.
