Akhmed Agadi graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in 1993 (class of Professor Yevgeny Kibkalo). In 1993, he became a soloist with  the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre in Moscow, where he performed the roles of Bayan (Ruslan and Lyudmila), Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Mozart (Mozart and Salieri), Young Gipsy (Aleko), Don Antonio (Betrothal in a Monastery), Count Almaviva (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore), Arlecchino (I pagliacci), Rodolfo (La Bohème), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Cavaradossi (Tosca), Faust (Faust) and Alfred (Die Fledermaus). He joined the Mariinsky Opera Company in 2005.

His repertoire at the Mariinsky Theatre includes: Vaudémont (Iolanta), Edgardo Ravenswood (Lucia di Lammermoor), Alfredo Germont (La traviata), Gabriele Adorno (Simon Boccanegra), Don Alvaro (La forza del destino), The Duke (Rigoletto), Don Carlo (Don Carlo), Radames (Aida), Rodolfo (La Bohème),
Cavaradossi (Tosca), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Calaf (Turandot), José (Carmen).

The singer’s repertoire also includes the tenor roles in Beethoven’s Missa solemnis, Verdi’s Requiem, Mahler’s Eighth Symphony and Das Lied von der Erde and Rachmaninoff’s vocal-symphony poem The Bells.

Akhmed Agadi performs at many prestigious opera houses. He has appeared in productions by the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, the Amsterdam Opera, the Royal Danish Opera, the Budapest Opera, the Opéra de Strasbourg, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

Awards:

Diploma-recipient at the All-Russian Glinka Vocalists Competition (1993)
In 1998 he was named best singer at the Fyodor Chaliapin International Opera Festival in Kazan.
