Weekend evenings at six
Dear audience members,
Please note that on Saturdays and Sundays opera performances at the Mikhailovsky Theatre will begin at 18:00. This applies to long performances which include two intermissions.
We hope that this will prove more convenient for our guests during the dark winter evenings, allowing them to make better use of these hours, perhaps combining a visit to the theatre with a pleasant stroll, and return home at a reasonable hour on public transport. Our Moscow guests, who often visit the Mikhailovsky Theatre at weekends, will no longer need to worry about catching the last train.
The new arrangement has already undergone a trial period at the beginning of January and was positively received by theatregoers. Over the coming months, the following performances will begin at 18:00: Mozart. The Marriage of Figaro on 13 January, Un ballo in maschera on 3 February, L’elisir d’amore on 9 March, Il barbiere di Siviglia on 11 March, and Manon Lescaut on 31 March.
