To Our Victory!

Victory Day is about to come. This anniversary unites people of different generations and is celebrated in every Russian family. We pay tribute to those who withstood horror and severities of the Great Patriotic War and came out winners, to those who fought and died for the victory. In these May days, we can understand much more clearly what a wonderful thing it is to live under the peaceful sky.

The artists of the Mikhailovsky Theatre have prepared a concert in costumes of the epoch, which is to be performed in front of the theatre on 10 May. The concert is a present for the citizens and guests of St Petersburg. The dance floor atmosphere of 1940s with popular tunes, bayan music and pair dancing is to be reconstructed. The music will call in mind joy and triumph of 9 May 1945.

The pre-war songs will be performed by the leading soloists of the Mikhailovsky opera company: Natalia Mironova, Tatiana Ryaguzova, Marina Tregubovich, Maria Litke, Boris Pinkhasovich, Evgeny Akhmedov, Fyodor Ataskevich, Dmitry Karpov, Alexey Kuligin.

Entrance is for free. The concert will be held from 4 p. m. to 6 p. m.
