The Mikhailovsky Theatre is opening its doors to the audience once again. On September 4, we invite you to the grand opening of the new 192nd season, which will not only give you unforgettable impressions, but will also delight you with unique creative projects, bright performances and, of course, the joy of long-awaited premieres. On September 12, a grand gala concert will take place on our stage as part of the 10th St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures. And on October 10, 11 and 12, we will present a series of premieres of Nacho Duato’s new production — Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s opera Eugene Onegin.

This year, the right to start the new theatre season has been given to one of the largest and most exciting ballets in our repertoire. The legendary “Spartacus” to the music of Aram Khachaturian will be held on September 4 and 5 with the participation of the leading soloists of the troupe — Ernest Latypov, Valeria Zapasnikova, Nikita Chetverikov and Irina Perren. Both days, Honoured Artist of Armenia Karen Durgaryan will be at the conductor’s stand.

The first opera performance of the autumn will be “The Lady of the Camellias” to the music of Giuseppe Verdi in the director’s version of Vladimir Kekhman. On September 6, the main parts in the most original production of the cult Italian opera will be performed by People’s Artist of Russia Sergey Leiferkus, Margarita Shapovalova, Sergey Kuzmin and Semyon Antakov. The musical director and chief conductor of the theatre Alexander Solovyov is at the conductor’s stand.
