The characters of The Harlequinade
85 years ago, our theatre showed its first ballet production: The Harlequinade to Riccardo Drigo’s music was set by the renowned choreographer Fyodor Lopukhov. The production premiered on 6 June 1933 was a huge success, and the date is hailed as the birthday of the Mikhailovsky Ballet.
