Nicola Ulvieri
On November 6, Italian baritone Nicola Ulvieri will perform in L’elisir d’amore at the Mikhailovsky Theatre.
From his professional debut in 1995 when he interpreted the title role in Nino Rota’s opera La notte di un nevrastenico at the Teatro Rendano in Cosenza, he sang in several Italian theatres and festivals: La Scala of Milan, Comunale di Firenze, Rossini Opera Festival and other.
He sang under the batons of Claudio Abbado, Lu Jia, Daniele Gatti, Daniel Harding, Alain Lombard, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Carlo Rizzi, Jordi Savall, Alberto Zedda, Jonathan Web, Rinaldo Alessandrini, and Victor Pablo Perez.
In 2006 he won the Abbiati Prize from the Italian Critics for his interpretations of Mozart’s operas.
