New season at the Mikhailovsky Theatre
We are pleased to announce the opening of ticket sales for performances in September and October.
We will open the 192nd season of the Mikhailovsky Theater on September 4 and 5 with the exciting ballet “Spartacus”. Also the repertoire of the first month of autumn includes the ballets “Le Corsaire”, “Giselle, or the Willis”, “Vain Precaution”, productions by Nacho Duato — “La Bayadère”, “Swan Lake”, “Romeo and Juliet”. You can come to all these performances with children, and we welcome the youngest spectators to the ballets “The Little Humpbacked Horse,” “Cinderella” and “Cipollino”.
The opera season will open on September 6 with the play “The Lady of the Camellias” directed by Vladimir Kekhman. Also the September repertoire includes “Carmen”, “Die Fledermaus” and the opera “Cavalleria rusticana”, which has returned to our repertoire.
The main event of the second month of autumn at the Mikhailovsky Theatre is the premiere of the opera “Eugene Onegin” staged by Nacho Duato on October 10, 11 and 12.
Also in October, lovers of vocal art will enjoy the opera “Aida” by Giuseppe Verdi, a play about the fate of the ballerina “The Lady of the Camellias” staged by Vladimir Kekhman, “Carmen” staged by Nacho Duato, opera “The Oprichnik” by P. I. Tchaikovsky and the elegant operetta “Die Fledermaus”.
The ballet playbill is represented by the pearls of choreographic art: the ballets “Swan Lake”, “Don Quixote”, “Le Corsaire”, “Spartacus”.
We invite children to the magical ballets “The Nutcracker”, “Cinderella”, “Sleeping Beauty”, as well as to the cheerful performance “The Little Humpbacked Horse” based on the famous fairy tale by Pyotr Ershov.
