Mikhailovsky Theatre is exemplary employer

The Mikhailovsky Theatre has once again been awarded the Certificate of Trust, presented to employers who guarantee the observance of the rights of their employees. The theatre first received this mark of recognition in 2012, and at the time was one of a very few theatres in St. Petersburg to do so. The reputation of the theatre as a model employer has now been cemented for a further three years.

The decision to confer the award is made by a tripartite committee that has studied every aspect of employment relations in the theatre’s artistic workshops, technical departments, and subdivisions.

The Certificate of Trust is awarded in St. Petersburg to organizations that adhere scrupulously to employment legislation. This document is significant in that it is evidence of the trust of three major bodies: the State Labour Inspectorate, the Federation of Trade Unions of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region, and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of St. Petersburg. The Mikhailovsky Theatre’s observance of its employees’ rights has therefore been affirmed by both state and public institutions. The theatre values the trust placed in it and will continue to focus on improving employment conditions.
