May holidays at the theatre
We invite you to spend the long-awaited May holidays at the Mikhailovsky Theatre! On May 1, our stage will host Dmitry Shostakovich’s ballet “The Limpid Stream”. This performance about secret dreams and tender love is a real repertoire rarity that is definitely worth getting to know. On May 2 and 3, we invite you to see Roland Petit’s masterpiece, one of the iconic ballets of the 20th century “Notre Dame de Paris”. And on May 4, we are waiting for all opera fans to see “Carmen” directed by Nacho Duato.
The second May holidays will begin with the light melodies of Johann Strauss’s operetta “The Bat”. On May 9, the great Victory Day, a chamber concert “Let’s bow to those great years!” will be held in the foyer of the mezzanine, and on stage we will show the heroic ballet about the eternal ideals of freedom and love “Spartacus”.
The weekend will end with the colorful ballet “Le Corsaire” about exotic shores and brave pirates.
