IX International Winter Festival “Arts Square”

For the last two years the Mikhailovsky Theatre has been participating in a well-known classical music festival, held in St Petersburg. This year the Theatre presents two special ballet programmes in the framework of the Festival.
The Mikhailovsky Theatre in the framework of the IX International Winter Festival “Arts Square”(14-24 December) is presenting two ballet performances.
On 15 December the Mikhailovsky Ballet is to show The Moor’s Pavane — a masterpiece of the American choreographer José Limón and flamboyant divertissements. Farukh Ruzimatov, Irina Perren and soloists of the Mikhailovsky Ballet will take part in the performance.
On 18 December the October premiere of the Mikhailovsky Ballet — Romeo and Juliet in the choreography by Oleg Vinogradov will be shown.
The ballet about the fragile happiness of the star-crossed lovers, about the ever-lasting fight between love and death — a masterpiece of the famous Russian choreographer.
