Elena Obraztsova appointed Artistic Advisor to the Mikhailovsky Opera
In her new position Elena Obraztsova will take part in programming of the opera company and in international activity of the troupe.
World famous opera singer Elena Obraztsova was appointed Artistic Advisor to the Mikhailovsky Opera.
She has been involved in dozens of international projects throughout her career and her outstanding experience both as an artist and as a manager now will enable the company to take efficient strategical decisions.
In her new position Elena Obraztsova will take part in programming of the opera company and in international activity of the troupe. In2007-2008 Elena Obraztsova had been the artistic director of the Mikhailovsky Opera. That was the time for a new repertoire to come: two new productions were staged to a much public acclaim, the company successfully hold tours to Moscow and Japan.
Elena Obraztsova resigned from the artistic director position due to a raising number of the projects she supposed to took part in in October 2008. New position of Artistic Advisor will allow her to combine managerial activity at the Mikhailovsky with artistic engagements across the globe.
