The International Ballet Festival Dance Open is the 9th annual event taking place in St Petersburg.
The public is going to see a peculiar program which includes ballet master classes and recitals, a series of gala performances and the award ceremony of the I Ballet Premium. All the festival events are to be held at the best theatres of St Petersburg. The gala performances Ballet Legends of St Petersburg is a series of four anniversary performances dedicated to centenary of the outstanding ballet dancers Galina Ulanova, Tatiana Vecheslova, Konstantin Sergeyev, and Vakhtang Tchabukiani. Such stars of the Mariinsky and Bolshoi Theatres as Ulyana Lopatkina, Nikolay Tsiskaridze, Irma Nioradze, Anastasia and Denis Matvyenko will perform the best and favourite pieces from the repertoire of the legendary ballet dancers. The organizers of the festival promise to treat the public not only with brilliant performances of the stars but also rare films and photos featuring the legendary performances of the heroes of the day.
